Grace..

It's not something you say before meals...

Grace is for the woman who just got dumped by her boyfriend, for the drunk who gets plastered every night, for the one who has been sober his whole life, for the unemployed, for the 6 figure income earner, for gay people, for the heroine addict, for the depressed, for the schizophrenic, for the guy who just argued with his wife, for the porn addicted, for the single mom, for the married mom, for the guy who tested positive for AIDS, for the unmarried couple who have 5 kids and are on welfare, for the happily married couple who celebrated their 25th anniversary, for the woman who gets abused by an asshole husband, for the kids growing up without a father, for the guy who's been divorced 3 times, for the one who never stepped in church, for the woman who just had an abortion, for the woman who is anti-abortion, for the guy dying of cancer, for the religious people, for the prostitutes, for the liberal, for the conservative, for skinny people, for fat people, for people who watch Oprah, for lawyers and doctors, for the guy who feels like a failure and can't get his shit together, for the grandmother who has been widowed for 25 years, for the man who's been in jail for 10 years, for the kids who are rude to their parents, for the parents who can't figure out how to raise their kids, for the teenager who just stole something from the dollar store, for the guy that cut you off on the road, for Bill Clinton, Charlie Sheen, and the Black Eyed Peas.

And for me and you...

Drink freely from the living waters of Jesus..

Meet my brother, Bono

"Words and music did for me what solid, even rigorous religious argument could never do, they introduced me to God, not belief in God, more an experiential sense of GOD. Over art, literature, reason, the way in to my spirit was a combination of words and music. As a result the book of Psalms always felt open to me and led me to the poetry of Ecclesiastes, the Song of Solomon, the book of John …" —Bono, Introduction to the Psalms

Interesting how this guy seems to get bashed from people of faith, for dropping the F-Bomb on TV, and from other situations, but yet this is the same guy who's songs get heard by people who wouldn't even think about stepping foot in a church. Songs that talk about love, grace, Yahweh, and a place "where the streets have no name". Thanks for reminding us, Bono.

What I'm Reading...

This is gotta be one of the funniest books I've ever read! Wanna learn how to talk like an evangelical, how to spot one while oversees, plan a trip to visit an evangelical church, party like an evangelical, and find out about evangelicals and their mating habits? It's all here!! It's the Field Guide To Evangelicals And Their Habitat!

Requirements: Must have a sense of humor to read this book. Otherwise, take a laxative, and then proceed to read the book.

Flipping Stations..

Anyone ever notice when flipping radio stations in the car, you always come across a song you love, but you always catch it while it's at the end!! I could be listening to the radio while driving and hear 50 songs in a row that are boring me to death, then flip to another station, only to catch an awesome song, at the end!!! Just thought I'd throw that out there to see if anyone relates...
